T-Street is gearing up to create the third installment of the Benoit Blanc franchise for Netflix later this year. It’s also mentioned that the third film in the series currently doesn’t have a title. It was previously announced that “Knives Out 3” received the green light. In March 2021, Netflix acquired the rights to the second and third parts for $450 million from Media Rights Capital. It was noted that Daniel Craig, playing the detective Benoit Blanc, would be featured in both sequels, with screenwriter and director Rian Johnson also involved.

In October 2023, Johnson mentioned in an interview with The Wrap that, for obvious reasons, he couldn’t work on “Knives Out 3” during the writers’ and actors’ strike, but now that it’s over, he is diving in full force.

Both parts of “Knives Out,” dedicated to two separate detective stories featuring Benoit Blanc, were highly successful. The first film in 2019 earned $310 million worldwide. Assessing the success of “The Glass Onion” is somewhat more challenging quantitatively, as Netflix allowed only limited theatrical screenings for a week before the film hit streaming. However, it is known to have broken Netflix records for the most views in a week and received positive reviews from critics.
