In distant West Africa, which is the epicenter of the Voodoo religion, there is a small country called Togo. In the southwestern part of this state, along the Gulf of Guinea coast, lies its capital, Lome. The city is not small – with a population of over 2 million.
However, its fame is not due to its size but to its market. Here, on the largest fetish market (aptly named Fetish Market), one can purchase any ingredients for preparing Voodoo potions. Shamans from the entire region regularly visit, searching for rare and not-so-rare fetishes for their magical rituals.
